School Products & Equipment Inc. (SP&E)
A new website for a design-build company that serves schools, colleges and public agencies across North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
What they needed
SP&E builds and equips gyms, classrooms, locker rooms and other school spaces. It sells to K-12 school districts, colleges, government agencies and parks and recreation departments. Their old site was a Wix site they made themselves. They needed a real website that shows what they build and makes it easy to ask for a quote.
What I built
I built them a custom site, then rebuilt it from the ground up on the same platform that runs this site: built for phones and quick to load. Each market they serve, from K-12 schools to government and parks and recreation, has its own page. There is a Request a Quote button in the header, a contact form, and a service request form. Every form is checked for spam and goes straight to their inbox.
How it's going
On Google PageSpeed Insights, the new site beats their old Wix site on all four scores below: performance on desktop and on mobile, accessibility, and best practices.

For public agencies
Built for public-sector buyers
Because SP&E sells to schools and public agencies, its website is judged by public-sector buyers. It has to load quickly on a phone and do well on accessibility tests, and the scores above show the new site does both.
SP&E's site also runs on the same platform as pagesteady.com, so security and accessibility fixes made to the platform reach it too.
